CTS Mini Audio Taper Pot (Split-Shaft)
CTS Mini Audio Taper potentiometers with a USA thread, and a 24 spline split-shaft. These come with a nut, lock washer and dress washer.Â
These mini pots are designed to fit in guitars where space is a little bit more of an issue! Some Ibanez guitars and 1980s super Strats have smaller control cavities, and when you need to replace those volume and tone controls these are a perfect option.Â
Dimensions:
- 6mm diameter split shaft.
- The threaded portion on the shaft is 9.5mm long.
- Total length of the shaft to the top of the spline is 18mm.
Which Ohm value should you choose?
500k pots are the standard volume and tone controls for humbuckers, and 250k's are usually used for single-coil pickups. A 250k gives a slightly warmer tone than a 500K by sending more of the high-frequencies in the circuit to ground.
