The CTS audio taper gives you smoother and more accurate response than with economyĀ pots. Featuring a aluminium thread and split-shaft.
Specs:
- USA spec thread: 3/8" x 32.
- 3/8" (9.5mm) diameter threaded collar.
- 24 spline (fine) split shaft.
- Includes 1 x nut, 1 x dress washer and 1 x lock washer.

- The brass threaded collar is 9.5mm long.
- Total length of the shaft to the top of the spline is 18mm.
- Split shaft diameter : 6mm.
- Pot casing diameter : 24mm.
Linear taper pots can be usedĀ forĀ tone controls.

Which Ohm value should you choose?
500k pots are the standard volume and tone controlsĀ for humbuckers, and 250k's are usually used for single-coil pickups. A 250k gives a slightly warmer tone than a 500k by sending more of the high-frequenciesĀ in the circuit to ground.
