Framus were famously a German manufacturer of string instruments which existed between 1946 until declaring bankruptcy in 1975. During this period Framus garnered some attention with their banjos, in particular the 4-string model which found popularity with Irish traditional musicians.Â
This example dates to sometime around the 1960s and is a standard 5-string banjo with 22 frets. All features appear to be original, with the original drum head still intact. Playability is great across the fretboard and all hardware is fully functional.Â
